First Time Japanese

Learning Japanese has been incredibly challenging. I came from nothing more than a love for the culture and no former language learning besides Spanish. There is something amazing about it, though, as only 6 months ago I couldn't read or understand a single word of Japanese. Now, I can read and write, hold basic conversation, and even posses a tidy collection of Kanji. That's why I love to learn it- it is so incredibly rewarding. I have never been more excited to learn and use a language before, and I encourage anyone who is tentative to take the challenge and be surprised by how engaging learning Japanese is. Some assorted tips for first-time Japanese learners: Learning the writing systems with no former experience in pictorial language can be especially difficult. I find the best way to learn is to build associations: does the character look like something related to the meaning or sound? Do you recognize certain phrases or kanji being repeated in related words? Find a partner to practice Japanese. This is very important. If you restrict your Japanese to the classroom, you will be limited. Talk to a classmate, text them in Japanese. Use apps like HelloTalk to talk to native speakers. Find ways to incorporate Japanese into your life and you will enjoy it more as well!

日本語の勉強するのはいっぱい挑戦があります。日本の文化に興味があリましたから勉強を始めました。その前にスペイン語だけ習えることがあります。日本語の勉強はすばらしいと思います。六月前に私は日本語が読めなくて何もわかりませんけど、今読むや書くができたり、生活の会話も話せたり、いろいろな漢字も知っていたりします。日本語の勉強はたくさん報われますから日本語が好きです。こんな興奮して言葉を習うことはありませんでした。日本語を始めたい人はこの挑戦を取りましょう。それて、日本語の勉強はどんな魅力があるかわかります。日本語の始めた生徒のヒント：絵文字を勉強したことがない学生にとって日本語の書くのは難しいかもしれません。私は一番いい勉強のし方は関連すると思います。漢字は意味の絵と音のように見えますか。関連した単語が同じ漢字がありますか。相手と一緒に日本語を練習しましょう。クラスメートと日本語で話して、テキストを書きます。HelloTalkのようなappを使って、日本人と話します。生活に日本語を組み込んだら、日本語を習うのをもっと楽しみます。
